Around the world, Napa wine country is certainly most known for being “wine country” for the entire United States. California’s wine comes out in the top tier of wines internationally. This has been true since 1976 when California wine started winning international awards. Year after year the epitome of quality wines are those from the Napa and Sonoma Valleys.
Enjoy the incomparable vistas of rolling vineyard hills which are associated historically with generations of passionate vintners. In the early days of the California Vineyards around the 1850’s Hungarian, Italian, Spanish, German immigrants, among others came to Northern California and created some incredible wines. Today’s vintners continue those efforts matched only by the businesses offering exceptional dining and quaint accommodations.
Currently, Napa wine country is comprised of 16 AVAs (American Viticultural Areas), Sonoma wine country also includes 16 AVAs). Learn more about California Wine Country at www.DiscoverCaliforniaWines.com.
